The beauty of every firework is the end result and Varsity Cup is most thrilled to announce the third place matchups and finals of the Maiden Varsity Cup 2024 between JOSTUM and UNILORIN. It has been an exhilarating and highly emotional Four (4) weeks crisscrossing campuses across the length and breadth of Nigeria to bring the skills and passion of football from our universities to the world.
Varsity Cup is excited to announce the Finals of Varsity Cup 2024, scheduled for 13th October, 2024 at The main bowl of the University of Benin Sport Complex at Ugbowo, Benin City, Edo State. The final match up will be between the comeback kings, University of Ilorin against the Unbreakable Joseph Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi and will also feature a third-place Match between Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and The University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

This finals promises to be electric as both finalist are from Group B and their initial duel ended in a draw (nil-nil) but UNILORIN only led the group based a red card handed to a JOSTUM player
The third-place match is also a battle for supremacy as OAU men’s team beat UNN men’s team in their first encounter in Group A and both teams will be fighting for not only the broze medal but also bragging right in this competition.
